Notes of vanilla, peach and honey are perceived mainly, as well as caramel, toffee and a touch of cereal finished with a touch of wood and peat smoke. Specially created by Jim Beveridge, a master blender who wanted to commemorate the distillery’s 200 years producing blended whiskey.
Johnnie Walker Red Label was launched by brothers George and Alexander Walker in 1909 and named after their grandfather, who had started the family business in 1820. This whisky is a blend of up to 30 malts and grains, a combination of light whiskys from the east coast of Scotland with peat whiskys from the west, balanced to create an extraordinary depth of flavor – bitter apple, caramel and light spice with hints of vanilla and cumin.
